Morrow County Retired Teachers Association

Our Purpose

Purposes of MCRTA:

• To provide opportunity for contact and interaction with colleagues
• To provide a framework through which retired educators can continue service to schools and communities
• To be aware of and respond to legislation which affects our retirement
• To familiarize retired and active teachers with the benefits of membership in the local, state and national associations
   

Purposes of ORTA:

• To encourage and aid active teachers in planning ahead for retirement
• To promote the economic, social, and professional status of retired teachers, and the exchange of information of value to them
• To promote the passage of legislation beneficial to retired teachers
• To maintain an active interest in high quality education
• To involve retired teachers in service and decision making at all levels
• To present the image of aging as one of dignity and independence
