We made trays of cookies to take to the school buildings in Morrow County in observance of National
Teacher Day (a little late). We left an inspiration poem and several MCRTA brochures with each tray:
If We Could Teach You, Teachers
If we could teach you, teachers,
We’d teach you how much more you have accomplished than
you think you have.
We’d show you the seeds you planted that are now coming into bloom.
We’d reveal
to you the young minds that have expanded under your care,
the hearts that are serving others because they had you as a role model.
If we could
teach you, teachers,
We’d show you the positive
effect you have had on students and their lives.
Your homework is to know your value to the world,
to acknowledge
it, to believe it.
Thank you, teachers.
We had just the right number
of cookies and lots of great help in putting together the trays and for delivering to the buildings.
Thanks to Lindsey Kohlenburg, Angie Hamilton, Shirley Dunahugh, Bonnie Hildebrand, Linda Ruehrmund, Jan Schild, Pat
Maxwell, Deana Detwiler, Tracy Needham Detwiler (her granddaughter), and all of you who donated the cookies!
